Basic Skills Training
Pawsitive Concepts offers private in-home dog training services for beginning, intermediate and advanced skills and manners training. We will create a custom training plan which will address your specific training goals.
All training includes a complementary homework and resource binder.
Level 1
6 Weeks

6 Weeks
Prerequisite: Must pass Level I or test out with all level I skills

Note: These skills are an example of what would be included in each level. However, all training plans will be customized to your individualized training goals after our consultation.
Level 3
4 Weeks
Prerequisite: Must pass Levels I and II
The following skills will be done in public areas for generalization purposes:

Give Your Puppy a Head Start

last a lifetime. From house training to socialization to basic manners, we will cover everything
your puppy needs to know to grow into a healthy, happy, well-mannered member of your family.
AKC Canine Good Citizen
We offer specialized training to help your dog earn the AKC titles of Canine Good Citizen, AKC S.T.A.R. Puppy, AKC Urban Canine Good Citizen, and AKC Community Canine.
If your dog is already trained for any of these titles, we can administer the tests
necessary to achieve these titles.
Are You Ready for a Puppy or Dog?
We offer a consultation designed for someone who is planning on getting a puppy or dog, has a new puppy, and for anyone who has never had a puppy or dog before.
We will discuss how to pick the dog that is right for you and your lifestyle, initial supplies
needed for bringing a new puppy/dog into the home, housebreaking, types of crates and kennels and when and how to use them, proper toy selection and management of chewing, socialization, and recognizing potential behavior problems and how to stop them before they become major issues.
We will also discuss equipment such as leashes,
harnesses and grooming tools and how to desensitize your dog to these various items.
We will also begin some basic obedience cues to start you and your puppy/dog off on the
right paw.
Day Training
Like most people, you want a well-trained, well-mannered dog. But, wow, are you busy! Maybe
you have long work hours or a hectic family life or volunteer obligations or social commitments
or...all of the above! Just when are you supposed to train your dog?
That’s where day training comes in!
This new modern approach to dog training is fast, effective and convenient. It is designed to
make life easier for you while still giving your dog the training and skills they need. With day
training, you do not have to commit to ongoing group classes, weekly private lessons, or long
training sessions at home. Just leave your dog with our professional trainers and we will do the
rest!
